Decision 2008: Stephen Colbert for President?

Is Comedy Central's Colbert Report Host Stephen Colbert really considering a bid for the White House in 2008? Just recently 2 petitions have been formed to get Colbert to run and Unity'o8 seems to be drafting Colbert to run for their nomination for president. They have recently formed a poll asking whether Colbert should run or not. Unity'08's Doug Bailey will be on the show to tell Colbert about the poll and maybe Colbert will give us a little insight on 2008. Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee already asked him to be his running mate, probably asa joke and so did Tom Delay. Now it looks like we may have to look into a possible Colbert run in 2008 to add to the growing number of possible independent runs. Could Colbert sum up to Bloomberg, if Bloomberg makes a run in 2008. Will he just be a spoiler if he runs. Colbert is seen sometimes as conservative and could attract alot of votes if Giuliani, Clinton, and Bloomberg were the candidates he faced off against considering they are all liberal. Colbert has been stated as a crazy journalist and is remembered for his White House Correspondence dinner 2 years ago when he was the comedy act. He put together a video putting forward his name for White House Press Secretary as a joke. His stunt stunned Washington and the President. Colbert could seriously change the status quo is he did run. However one must also consider is this just another political stunt? We will soon find out tonight on Colbert's show.

Candidate Root (L) Goes After Bloomberg

Michael Bloomberg's possible independent candidacy is under attack by author of Republican Millionaire and Libertarian presidential candidate Wayne Allyn Root.

In a blog entry by Root, a former Republican, he says that the media has given so much attention to Bloomberg not because he has big ideas, interesting "out of the box" ideas or that he could be a leader of political revolution but for this reason: "The answer is simple: because he's a Billionaire (that's with a capital 'B')."

Root goes onto to say it takes more than money to become President and says that "If Americans agree we need bold change to turn this great nation around, then I don't believe Michael Bloomberg is the answer."

Nader's possible run and can Bloomberg win?

I think Nader will run. He is taking the neccessary steps to make a run. Hes name is appearing more and more on the news and he supports the minor candidates because they will lose and he can put himself forward as a canddiate. Now whether he wants to go through the hassle of gathering sigantures and raising money. Also is Bloomberg jumps in wont he be a minor speed bump on the 2008 presidential race? I see Nader running but not even getting half of the votes he got in 2004 and that amount wasn't that much. Now with Bloomberg in will he be a spoiler a long shot or a serious contender. Could he actually become our first independent president? I seriously doubt that. However he has the money and the name recognition. He could actually swing some electoral votes to throw the election to the house. That has happened for hundreds of years. If Giuliani and Hillary are the 2 candidates facing off against Bloomberg I dont see him coming close. Too many NY liberals in the race. If you look at the 3 they are very similar. All 3 are pro-choice and are from NY. They all support gun control. Do you think Bloomberg if he does run can get enough support to get into the presidential debates? Ross Perot did.

Nader Considering Fourth Run

Ralph Nader, who received enough votes in 2000 to be accused of being a "spoiler," is considering making yet another run for the White House in 2008.

"You know the two parties are still converging -- they don't even debate the military budget any more," Nader said last night on Hardball. Nader went onto say: "I really think there needs to be more competition from outside the two parties."

Nader does however have favorites in each of the major parties. On the Republican side he likes Ron Paul, for the Democrats Mike Gravel is his choice.

When it comes to the possibel independent candidacy of Michael Bloomberg Nader said "He's running" and that "he'll turn it into a three-way race." But this doesn't mean Nader won't try and make it a four way race, "I really like the stand he [Bloomberg] took against smoking, but he goes along with corporate welfare in New York and tax-funded stadiums. So he is unfinished in that way."

Will Mike Bloomberg run for president in 2008?

New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg has officially left the Republican party pretty much ending any speculation that he would run in 2010 to oust Newly elected Democratic Governor Elliot Spitzer. Now most our looking at whether he will run as an independent for president in 2008? With his new Independent affliation it make look like he is going to run. Bloomberg has yet to state he will or will not run as an independent, but he will not run as a Republican. Bloomberg stands well as a 3rd party or independent candidiate in polls coming close to winning several states and nationally he is nearing double digits. Could he be the Ross Perot of 2008? He is a billionaire and could finance a presidential run. He said he is ready to spend $50 million of his own money to get enough signatures to get on the ballot in all 50 states and run TV ads in those states. With that much money Bloomberg could put up a good fight against whoever the Democratic or Republican nominees will be. Bloomberg also met with US Senator Chuck Hagel at a Unity'08 event sparking interest that the 2 will run on the same ticket under the Unity'08 banner. We will just have to wait and see what happens in 2008.

Is the McCain Campaign in trouble?

Many are questioning whether Arizona U.S. Senator John McCain is already out of the race for president. He had poor fundraising totals in the 1st quarter and is expected to have about the same. His polls in Key state of Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina have dropped to almost single digits. Nationally McCain has slipped to 3rd. What has happened to this once presumed nominee? Well McCain supports unpopular legislation like the current immigration bill, and the troop build up resolution. Also Fred Thompson's entrance has moved him to 3rd. Mitt Romney's surge in Iowa and NH have taken his lead away. Giuliani remains in control nationally. The only area McCain is performing decently is in Democratic match-ups. There he is usually tied with Giuliani and leading Thompson and Romney. I dont feel that McCain if out yet. He still has the polls to remain in the top tier, and if we remember back to 2004 John Kerry was in this kind of trouble numerous times. Kerry was the early frontrunner slipped in fundraising and key states regained his lead but lost it again and fell to all time lows. It wasn't until the week before Iowa that he came back and won the nomination. It is too early to declare a campaign dead and I feel this si just another bumpy stage for McCain. Now if he recieves poor fundrasing totals again and his momentum completely deteriates. Then the McCain camp will be in trouble.

Immigration (Pt.3)

FINAL PART REGARDING IMMIGRATION!!!

Ok so we've seen how Illegal Immigrants dont pay for the things we have to, they get extended benefits on many issues, they can trash our flag, language and culture and its called Free Speach or Affirmative Action. Yet when we do so its called Un-Patriotic and Stepping Over the Bounds.

So, Part 3 won't be long in fact there is no Fact Sheet on this one. Just my Thoughts. So take the time to look over Parts 1 & 2 and then comment about it and let me know what you think. Agree with me or not. I want everyone's oppinion.

Illegal Immigration would be less of a problem if the Government would build the fence like they said they would. Unfortunantly they have chosen to sit on their butts and not do a thing about it. Illegal Immigration in Mexico would result in imprisonment or death. Here you get anything and everything you want. Fair and Balanced? You decide.

Final Note:

It's up to us to do something about it. Half the Senate voted against making English the Official Language of the United States. Half the Senate voted for making Illegal Immigrants LEGAL. Half the Senate voted to allow them to participate in Social Security, Welfare, Medicare and all the other benefits hard working Americans cannot. And Half the Senate will be re-elected because voters will choose not to vote them out. Lets do something about it. Let's fix our Border Problem. Protect our Border Officers. And begin using Basic Common Sense to protect our Conuntry!

Immigration (Pt.2)

Ok, so you've seen how Immigrants just love our country in Part 1. Now check this out. To those who think Illegal Immigrants want to learn our language. To those who think it will cost more to deport them then it will to make them Legal. GET THIS!!!

As you read this, bear in mind that 84 hospitals have closed in
California due to bankruptcy from serving the needs of illegal aliens.
This problem is Huge. Secure the border first with a fence and then we can discuss the immigration situation.

Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas is a fairly famous
Institution and for a variety of reasons:

1. John F. Kennedy died there in 1963
2. Lee Harvey Oswald died there shortly after
3. Jack Ruby-who killed Lee Harvey Oswald, died there a few years
later..by coincidence

"On the flip side, Parkland is also home to the second busiest
maternity ward in the country with almost 16,000 new babies arriving each year. (That's almost 44 per day---every day)

THE FOLLOWING STATISTICS ARE OUTRAGEOUS.

A recent patient survey indicated that 70 percent of the women who gave birth at Parkland in the first three months of 2006 were illegal
Immigrants. That's 11,200 anchor babies born every year just in Dallas .

According to the article, the hospital spent $70.7 million delivering
15,938 babies in 2004 but managed to end up with almost $8 million
dollars in surplus fun ding. Medicaid kicked in $34.5 million, Dallas
County taxpayers kicked in $31.3 million and the feds tossed in another $9.5 million.

The average patient in Parkland 's maternity wards is 25 years old,
married and giving birth to her second child She is also an illegal
Immigrant. By law, pregnant women cannot be denied medical care based on their immigration status or ability to pay.

OK, fine. That doesn't mean they should receive better care than
everyday , middle-class American citizens. But at Parkland Hospital,
they do.

" Parkland Memorial Hospital has nine prenatal clinics. NINE.

The Dallas Morning News article followed a Hispanic woman who was a patient at one of the clinics and pregnant with her third child---her previous two were also born at Parkland . Her first two deliveries
were free and the Mexican native was grateful because it would have
cost $200 to have them in Mexico . This time, the hospital wants her to pay $10 per visit and $100 f or the delivery but she was unsure if she could come up with the money. Not that it matters, the hospital won't turn her away. (I wonder why they even bother asking at this point.)

"How long has this been going on? What are the long-term affects?

Well, another subject of the article was born at Parkland in 1986
shortly after her mother entered the U.S. illegally---now she is having
her own child there as well. (That's right, she's technically a U.S.
citizen.) These women receive free prenatal care including medication, nutrition, birthing classes and child care classes. They also get freebies such as car seats, bottles, diapers and formula.

Most of these things are available to American citizens as well but
only for low-income applicants and even then, the red tape involved is almost insurmountable.

Because these women are illegal immigrants, they do not have to provide any sort of legitimate identification---no proof of income. An American citizen would have to provide a social security number which would reveal their annual income---an illegal immigrant need only claim to be poor and the hospital must take them at their word.

"My husband is a pilot for the United States Navy (yes, he fought in
Iraq ) and while the health care is good, we Navy wives don't get
any of these perks! Car seats? Diapers? Not so much. So my question is this:
Does our public medical care system treat illegal immigrants
better than American citizens? Yes it does!

As I mentioned, the care I have received is perfectly adequate but it's bare bones, meat and potato medical care---not top of line.

Their (the illegals) medical care is free---simply because they are
illegal immigrants? Once again, there is no way to verify their income.

Parkland Hospital offers indigent care to Dallas County residents who
earn less than $40,000 per year. (They also have to prove that they did not refuse health coverage at their current job. Yeah, the 'free' care is not so easy for Americans.)

There are about 140 patients who received roughly $4 million dollars
for non reimbursed medical care. As it turns out, they did not qualify
for free treatment because they resided outside of Dallas County So the hospital is going to sue them! Illegals get it all free! But U.S
citizens who live outside of Dallas County get sued! How stupid is
this?

As if that isn't annoying enough, the illegal immigrant patients are
actually complaining about hospital staff not speaking Spanish. In this AP story, the author speaks with a woman who is upset that she had to translate comments from the hospital staff into Spanish for her husband. The doctor was trying to explain the situation to the family and the mother was forced to translate for her husband who only spoke Spanish. This was apparently a great injustice to her.

In an attempt to create a Spanish-speaking staff, Parkland Hospital is
now providing incentives in the form of extra pay for applicants who
; speak Spanish. Additionally, medical students at the University of
Texas Southwestern for which Parkland Hospital is the training facility will now have a Spanish language requirement added to their already jammed-packed curriculum. No other school in the country boasts such a ridiculous multi-semester (multicultural) requirement.

In the meantime, I have to end my column here. I have to go buy a car
seat."
(Ed: Sorry for the length, but this needs wide
circulation----particularly to our "employees" in Congress.)

PLEASE SEND THIS TO EVERY US CITIZEN YOU KNOW.

Immigration (Pt. 1)

We've heard time and time again about this Immigration Bill. We've heard time and time again about how its not amnesty. And we've heard time and time again about how it will cost billions of dollars to deport them. Well here's some stuff to make you think. To those who think they dont want to change our way of government, language and lifestyle. And to those who think these Illegal Immigrants are peaceful people wanting to make a living. Read This.

THIS IS NOT A FORECAST OR A PROJECTION. THIS IS WHAT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED IN CALIFORNIA.

DO YOU WANT THE REMAINING PARTS OF THE UNITED STATES TO BE LIKE CALIFORNIA ???

1. 40% of all workers in L.A. County ( L.A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash not paying taxes. This was because they are predominantly illegal immigrants, working without a green card.

2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.

4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

5. Nearly 25% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.

6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.

8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

9. 21 radio stations in L.A. are Spanish speaking.

10. In L.A. County 5.1 million people speak English. 3.9 million speak Spanish.(There are 10.2 million people in L.A. County ).

Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare.

Over 70% of the United States ' annual population growth (and over 90% of California , Florida , and New York )results from immigration.

The cost of immigration to the American taxpayer in 1997 was, (after subtracting taxes immigrants pay), a NET $70 BILLION/year, [Professor Donald Huddle, Rice University ]. The lifetime fiscal impact (taxes paid minus services used) for the average adult Mexican immigrant is a NEGATIVE number.

29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.

If they can come to this country to raise Hell and demonstrate by the thousands, WHY can't they take charge over the corruption in their own country?

We are a bunch of fools for letting this continue.

THE U.S. VS MEXICO

On February 15, 1998, the U.S and Mexican soccer teams met at the Los Angeles Coliseum. The crowd was overwhelmingly pro-Mexican even though most lived in this country. They booed during the National Anthem and U.S. flags were held upside down. As the match progressed, supporters of the U.S. team were insulted, pelted with projectiles, punched and spat upon. Beer and trash were thrown at the U.S players before and after the match. The coach of the U.S. team, Steve Sampson said, "This was the most painful experience I have ever had in this profession."

Did you know that immigrants from Mexico and other non-European countries can come to this country and get preferences in jobs, education, and government contracts. It's called affirmative action or racial privilege.

The Emperor of Japan or the President of Mexico could migrate here and immediately be eligible for special rights unavailable for Americans of European descent.

Corporate America has signed on to the idea that minorities and third world immigrants should get special, privileged status. Some examples are Exxon, Texaco, Merrill Lynch, Boeing, Paine Weber, Starbucks and many more.

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know .. that Mexico regularly intercedes on the side of the defense in criminal cases involving Mexican nationals?

Did you know .. that Mexico has NEVER extradited a Mexican national accused of murder in the U.S. in spite of agreements to do so? According to the L.A. Times, Orange County , California is home to 275 gangs with 17,000 members, 98% of which are Mexican and Asian. How's your county doing?

According to a New York Times article dated May 19, 1994, 20 years after the great influx of legal immigrants from Southeast Asia , 30% are still on welfare compared to 8% of households nationwide. A Wall Street Journal editorial dated December 5, 1994 quotes law enforcement officials as stating that Asian mobsters are the "greatest criminal challenge the country faces." Not bad for a group that is still under 5% of the population.

Is education important to you? Here are the words of a teacher who spent over 20 years in the Los Angeles School system.

"Imagine teachers in classes containing 30-40 students of widely varying attention spans and motivation, many of whom aren't fluent in English. Educators seek learning materials likely to reach the majority of students and that means fewer words and math problems and more pictures and multicultural references."

I remember hearing about the immigrants that came through Ellis Island.

They wanted to learn English.
They wanted to breathe free.
They wanted to become Americans.

Now, far too many immigrants come here with demands. They demand to be taught in their own language. They demand special privileges... affirmative action. They demand ethnic studies that glorify their culture.

WE CAN END THIS UNACCEPTABLE SITUATION BY DOING THE FOLLOWING:

1. BUILD A WALL/FENCE ALONG THE ENTIRE BORDER.
2. SERIOUSLY PATROL THE BORDER.
3. PENALIZE EMPLOYERS WHO HIRE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS.
4. NO MORE FREE MEDICAL CARE, WELFARE, & SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS FOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS.
5. CHILDREN BORN IN THE U.S. FROM ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY BECOME U.S. CITIZENS.

IF WE DO THE ABOVE, MOST OF THE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS WILL RETURN TO MEXICO ON THEIR OWN. THE OTHERS SHOULD BE DEPORTED OR JAILED.

IF WE DON'T DO THE ABOVE, IT IS PROJECTED THAT 20 TO 30 MILLION ADDITIONAL ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS WILL ENTER THE U.S. IN THE NOT TOO DISTANT FUTURE ..... AND THE AMERICAN POPULATION AND ITS VALUES WILL CHANGE FOREVER.

ITS VERY SIMPLE:
"LEGAL" IMMIGRATION IS GOOD
"ILLEGAL" IMMIGRATION IS BAD

How much does it cost to run for President?

Before I get ready for work I flip through the morning news "snews"> While I have no crystal ball it didn't take me long to figure out what the stories are going to be about. You can count on the first story being something negitive about the President, The GOP or the war in Iraq. Then they will have some amazing story of survival, next look for a story regarding some Hollywood screen star. The weather is spotted between the segments and a bid of local fluff such as the local government spending a buch of money for some study to see if we need a color inhanced veebel glocker or a new depth gage for the city swiming pool. The order may be different but no matter if it's ABC, CBS, or NBC the content is the same. Fox has some different things but pretty much the same stuff .
Every day we see Rudy G as the GOP leader and Mitt Romney has raised $X million. and the other side , the so called Democrats have Miss Hillery leading the pack followed by Borcc the Magic Politico that lives in DC and can do no wrong, follows closely.
Just in the past few days have we seen and heard about Fred Dalton Thompson. I seem the news folks have just found out that he may be running. And running he will. He has been in no debates to date, has not raised millions, has not announced that he is a candidate. But polls show he is in the number 2 spot!
How did he do it? Fred hasn't been sitting around twittleing his thumbs. It's called grass roots. He has been quietly meeting the folks out on Main Street USA via the internet and speaking at events.
One word of warning Mr. Thompson himself has said it is way too early to make any thing out of the current polls. The real race won't start until Sept or Oct of this year.
It is very possible for a third party candidate to make some headway this time. Both party bases are not over joyed with the present leaders.

Powell Leaning Democrat?

Is former Sec. of State going to support a Democrat for President 2008? Powell, who in 1996 was encouraged to run as a Republican for President, appeared on Meet the Press this past Sunday.

"I'm going to support the best person that I can find who will lead this country for the eight years beginning in January of 2009," said Powell. He went onto say that he has advised Democrat Barak Obama on foreign policy but would give advice to anyone that asks him.
